Podcast People,
There are few companies that have cemented the place of clean energy in our economic fabric as much as Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), a leading provider of clean energy research. On Thursday, July 11th, BNEF Founder Michael Liebreich joins us for a live video recording of Watt it Takes.
The son of immigrant parents, Michael grew up outside of London and learned to ski while visiting his grandparents. After completing an MBA at Harvard Business School, Michael competed on the British Ski Team in the 1992 Winter Olympics. By 2004, he had helped build over 25 companies as a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and executive.
In 2004, Michael founded New Energy Finance, serving as Chairman and CEO until its sale to Bloomberg LP in 2009. He remained CEO of Bloomberg New Energy Finance until 2014; since the start of 2018 he has been a Senior Contributor. Today, Michael runs the advisory service Liebreich Associates and remains a leading voice on climate and energy issues.
At 12pm PDT (3pm EDT) on Thursday, June 11th, take a break from rummaging through your fridge to learn how Michael went from skiing in the Olympics to establishing one of the most trusted voices in clean energy. Be sure to reserve your spot before it's too late and join our interactive livechat during the podcast.
