The U.S. Commercial Service is the U.S. government’s trade promotion arm. We support the growth of the U.S. economy by promoting U.S. innovation, helping U.S. firms scale globally, bringing investment into the U.S., and assisting U.S. companies with their international market access issues.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is the federal agency for granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks. Its mission is to foster innovation, competitiveness, and economic growth, domestically and abroad, by providing high quality and timely examination of patent and trademark applications, guiding domestic and international intellectual property (IP) policy, and delivering IP information and education worldwide.
