The Codiga Resource Recovery Center (CR2C) is an innovative water and wastewater technology testing and development facility. CR2C consists of core infrastructure (wastewater diversion system, pump station, grit tank, microscreen, SAF-MBR, and associated pumps, sensors, sampling equipment, and control system), and testing infrastructure.
The testing infrastructure includes the following:
• Four (4) test bays each 8' x 20', with access to continuous streams of the following waters:
o non-potable Lake water, surface water (1-30 gpm)
o raw de-gritted wastewater (1-10 gpm)
o microscreened (primary) effluent wastewater (1-10 gpm)
o anaerobic secondary treatment effluent wastewater (0.5-4 gpm)
Water quality of the different streams is summarized in Table 1. The test bays also have access to continuous streams of biogas (0-0.3 cfm, 20-30% N2, 1-5% CO2, 70-75% CH4), and to stormwater runoff diverted from a nearby drainage swale (November-May, subject to weather).
Each test bed bay also has access to the following power supply circuits:
o 208 V/3phase 30A
o 480 V/3phase 30A
o 110 V/1phase 20A
• Sampling ports for bench scale testing of systems using any grade of water
• In-line ports for insertion of sensor equipment for any grade of water (except stormwater) or biogas
