NYSERDA’s Innovative Market Strategies Program is seeking to fund emerging clean energy solutions that have the potential to accelerate uptake or strengthen the value proposition of energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, and/or address affordability and equitable access. The goal of this Program is to identify and fund projects that demonstrate promising approaches to scaling adoption of clean energy solutions in New York State.
Of specific interest are solutions that:
- Promote advanced efficiency solutions. These solutions may include, but are not limited to, promising approaches to strengthening the value proposition and increasing adoption of building-to-grid-interactivity or the integration of multiple technologies and/or energy efficiency measures to achieve significant greenhouse gas emissions reduction in buildings.
- Increase affordability and access to clean energy solutions. These may include, but are not limited to, demonstrating promising approaches for increasing adoption of clean energy solutions for low- to moderate- income (LMI) communities including affordable housing and/or increasing offerings and financing that address market barriers in these communities.
Proposed strategies that are able to successfully address more than one solution ‘type’ are also encouraged. For-profit, not-for-profit, and public entities with high upside clean energy solutions are encouraged to apply by submitting a concept paper according to the guidelines in the PON.
