Getting EVs in MUDs is a chicken and egg problem. MUD residents do not consider EVs because they don’t have easy access to EV infrastructure - parking and charging. EVs appear to be inconvenient or infeasible, and many MUD residents may be barely familiar with them. At the same time, MUD owners/managers do not consider EV infrastructure because their residents don’t own or use EVs. There appears to be no demand for EVs and associated infrastructure, so again many MUD owners/managers may be barely familiar with them. More broadly, the entire ecosystem of EV sales and leases, EV rentals, charger sales and operations, government and utility programs and the like deals very little with MUD residents/owner/managers.
The fundamental mission of E-motion Autos is to break into this chicken and egg cycle and increase the use of EVs in MUDs. We provide access to both EVs and EV parking/charging.
EVs. We provide MUD residents with access to EVs on a temporary rental basis that is convenient, affordable and reliable. To accomplish this, we take advantage of the stock of reasonably-priced used EVs that are suitable for a variety of driving needs. With this service, MUD residents don’t have to own an EV to use one. And they can become more knowledgeable before making a decision to buy or lease an EV.
We also enable MUD residents to buy/lease suitable EV models. With this service, MUD residents don’t need to become instant EV experts to make the right choice. Many of these EV buyers/lessors may have started as EV renters.
Parking/Charging. We provide MUD residents with access to nearby EV parking/charging that is under utilized. To accomplish this, we take advantage of the stock of parking spaces with underutilized Level 2 chargers, many of which are very near suitable MUDs. With this service, MUD residents don’t have to have access to on-site parking/charging to use an EV. They can park/charge an EV they already own or lease, or – in a package deal - one they are renting/leasing/buying through us.
We enable MUD owners/managers to purchase/lease suitable on-site parking/charging infrastructure. With this service, MUD owners/managers don’t need to become instant EV infrastructure experts to make the right choice. Many of these installations may have been inspired by active use of nearby parking/charging infrastructure.
