PhD to VC Program
At Fifty Years, we believe more scientists should commercialize their research via tech startups. To do that, we believe we need more scientists in venture capital. Why? Deep experts are needed to diligence technical ideas and support the PhD founders. To get more PhDs into VC, we are launching a free nights and weekends program called "PhD to VC"!
We'll teach you everything you need to know to get your foot in the door of VC -- the lingo, the economics, how to source, how to diligence, how to support founders, and more. You'll get hands-on experience with all aspects of venture and the program will culminate with us opening up our VC network to help you find a way into the industry.

Details
What: A nights and weekends program to learn about VC!
When: February 15th - April 23rd. Each week, 50Y will host a 90-minute teaching session during the week and a 90-minute group meeting during the weekend.
Assignments: Additional 6-hour time commitment each week to read, analyze, network, meet entrepreneurs, support entrepreneurs!
You should apply if… You’re a PhD student, MD student, postdoc or dropout!
