Description

This is a competitive contract solicitation to support the California Air Resources Board (CARB or Board) Sustainable Transportation and Communities Division. CARB encourages proposers to form multidisciplinary teams to fulfill contract requirements. Principal Investigators (PIs) must be affiliated with University of California and California State Universities; however, CARB encourages PIs to recruit non-academic and diverse partners when appropriate.


The main objective of this project is to develop identify the most impactful toxic air contaminants (TACs) that are emitted outdoors from fossil gas use in both residential and commercial building appliances. and estimate TACs emission factors based on end use. The results of this study will aid CARB in developing zero-emission appliance standards.


Key Dates:

• July 7, 2023 – Pre-proposals must be submitted by email to stcdivision@arb.ca.gov by 5 p.m.

• July 28, 2023 – Winning applicants will be notified.

• August 31, 2023 – Full proposals due to CARB staff for review by 5 p.m.
