The RAMP initiative aims to foster community and labor capacity building to strengthen workforce partnerships in communities hosting major clean energy projects that are funded in whole or in part by the Invest in America suite of laws (Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and CHIPS and Science Act (CHIPS)). OEJ seeksfeedback and indications of interest from a wide range of organizations interested in supporting or engaging in the RAMP initiative in Target Geographies.
RAMP is a pilot initiative to build the capacity of community partners to effectively connect local, disadvantaged, and underrepresented workers to good jobs on clean energy projects in their community. RAMP is centered around a two-year fellowship program overseen by OEJ that will recruit candidates from a wide range of backgrounds to receive extensive education, mentoring, and support to learn how to develop and implement strategic workforce partnerships around clean energy projects in their communities. Organizations encouraged to submit feedback and/or indications of interest in supporting RAMP include labor organizations, community-based organizations or other organizations with a focus on equity, workforce, or energy issues, tribal organizations, community colleges, workforce boards, local governments, energy employers, philanthropies, and other stakeholders whose mission and/or charitable purpose is aligned with RAMP.
