Description

The 2025–2027 Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Partnership (ZEVIP) grant is a competitive funding opportunity offered by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Office of Innovative Partnerships. The program is designed to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission vehicle infrastructure across Washington State, with a primary focus on expanding direct-current fast-charging (DCFC) stations along priority state highway corridors.

The purpose of the grant is to improve access to reliable EV charging, support long-distance electric travel, reduce transportation-related emissions, and advance the state’s climate and clean transportation goals. Funding is provided through Washington’s Climate Commitment Act.

Grant funds may be used for the installation or upgrade of EV charging infrastructure, particularly DC fast chargers located within one travel mile of designated state routes. Projects are required to include networked charging equipment and must provide a minimum 20 percent non-state match.
