Organization Overview

The Climate Registry (TCR) is a non-profit organization governed by U.S. states and Canadian provinces and territories.  TCR designs and operates voluntary and compliance GHG reporting programs globally, and assists organizations in measuring, reporting and verifying (MRV) the carbon in their operations in order to manage and reduce it. TCR also consults with governments nationally and internationally on all aspects of GHG measurement, reporting, and verification.

TCR program goals:

  1. Advance the capacity of organizations throughout North America to measure, report, and verify (MRV) their carbon inventory footprint;

  2. Develop innovative MRV&R (recognition) protocols, standards, programs, and services to encourage carbon reduction actions; and

  3. Build strategic partnerships with entities nationally and internationally to increase ambition and maximize impact.
