I have over 30 years of experience in building energy simulations and the development of weather data for use in energy calculations. From 1981 through 2007, I was a staff scientist at LBNL working on numerous domestic and international projects to evaluate buliding energy efficiency, develop building energy standards, and create weather data. After taking early retirement in 2007, I started a small consultant business called White Box Technologies to continue doing the same, but with lowered overhead! WBT was responsible for creating both the CZ2010 and CZ2022 weather files used for Title-24 compliance calculations, ASHRAE's IWEC2 weather files for 3,012 international locations, and updating the TMY3 weather files in 2014.
