Organization Overview

Climformatics is a women-owned company founded by Dr. Detelina Ivanova (Chief Technology Officer, CTO) and Dr. Subarna Bhattacharyya (CEO), former Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) climate modelers, with expertise in oceanography, atmospheric science, computation and risk modeling who work at the frontiers of climate/weather modeling, data science and AI. Our mission is to Predict, Prepare and Protect businesses from catastrophe climate change risks.

At Climformatics, we built a suite of products using climate modeling and machine learning technologies that can predict the fire-weather, heatwaves, droughts, severe rainfall, forecast renewable energy capacity for solar, wind and hydro power with up to 95% accuracy a year ahead in advance, enabling enough lead time for CCAs, energy and water Utilities to optimize operational management and implement proactive risk mitigation. It can help save CCAs close to $0.5 -1.5 Million annually for a normal to a dry water-year. We are DOE & CALSEED Prototype award winners.
