We are urban planners and innovators who plan, design, and program Equity-focused, clean mobility hubs for underserved communities. We call them TECHubs (Transportation Equity Community Hubs).
Organization Overview

We are a proud woman-owned small business based in Sacramento, one of the most culturally and socioeconomically diverse cities in the nation. Similar to Sacramento, our team members and affiliates include a diverse group of experts and professionals from various backgrounds, cultures, and disciplines including urban planning, software engineering, VR development, public outreach, and placemaking.

Aura Planning's goal is to join the movement of bringing transportation equity to underserved communities through clean mobility solutions.

We believe mobility is as much about social mobility as it is about physical movement. A lack of mobility options will limit communities' capacity to rise to a higher socioeconomic position. This led us to develop a new urban typology: TECHubs, where physical and social mobility intersect.

Transportation Equity Community Hubs (TECHubs) are equity-focused, clean mobility hubs for underserved communities. Three main components of TECHubs are transportation equity, clean mobility, and workforce development.

Aura Planning has also developed innovative high-tech, high-touch strategies and tools, such as virtual reality apps and GIS maps, for assessment of communal needs, community outreach, and feasibility analysis.
