Glide Patrol designs and manufactures a unique line of electric stand-up cycles positioned in the short-range public safety markets. We have sold to city police departments (recently City of Berkeley PD), University Campus police and private security (recently Sutter Health).
We have been a bootstrap small company for years pouring most of our resources into design, engineering and manufacturing processes. We have in that process been successful at perfecting the product and able to do 4 small production runs. The exciting part is that our customers have seen the value, utility and function in our product. The biggest aspect being very efficient short-range personal transportation that offers proven "community outreach" benefits! Riders are getting to their destination quickly, quietly and inexpensively while experiencing friendly community reaction and interaction!
Our goal with this stage of the project is to expand our organization and company reach to better complete on-site demos (with more demo units in our fleet), pilot programs and general interaction with the City of Sacramento and other neighboring California Cities.
We know that our product is better than anything out there that we compete with.. The challenge is that we have not been able to invest in outreach programs and any kind of marketing to expand into other departments or agencies. The product is well-built (manufactured right here in the area - Rancho Cordova) but relatively unknown. We hope to partner with local agencies and security firms to expand as well. Time for us to scale the business!
