Organization Overview

The ZeroMission Operations Platform is a web-based application that enables comprehensive fleet monitoring. Data sources are streamlined to show only critical operational items while considering the broader EV ecosystem.

The Platform consolidates information from all aspects of an EV operation in one centralized location, facilitating real-time performance monitoring of all deployed assets. It highlights the numerous interdependencies across fleet, depot, and energy operations with intuitive, easy-to-understand color-coded alerts and robust decision support tools. The operational modules, including Depot Management, Charge Management, Systemwide Alerts, Fleet Management, and Reports & Insights, can be selected according to the needs and integration capabilities of each site, resulting in a highly informative and powerful tool for fleets incorporating these new technologies into their operations. This provides our customers with a holistic and well-informed problem-solving environment, specifically designed to manage and scale zero-emission buses within the fleet.

The Platform is designed to integrate a variety of data sources that can enhance an operation. We recommend integrating a telematics and charge management system or utilizing the ZeroMission Charge Management System to maximize the benefits of the integrated platform; however, multiple integrations are not mandatory.

The ZeroMission Charge Management System is OEM-agnostic, compatible with any type of charger and any manufacturer that supports OCPP. It is compatible with OCPP 1.6 or newer, designed to work with any existing OCPP charger, and built to capture improvements in OCPP standards. We strive to adhere as closely as possible to published standards; however, we recognize that various systems have been deployed ahead of standards that are now commonplace. In these instances, we take a practical approach and work closely with our customers to accommodate these systems as much as possible.

Charging stations managed by a third-party CMS can still integrate with the platform through an API connection. Integrated Charge Management Systems will be monitored and visible within the ZeroMission Platform. However, the management and operational adjustments for each charger will need to be made within the native CMS.

ZeroMission has integrated multiple vehicle telematics systems, including Viriciti, Geotab, IO Controls, and New Flyer Connect. From these data sources, ZeroMission collects and records live data from each vehicle, such as GPS, SOC, calculated range, and other maintenance parameters pertinent to charging and operating electric vehicles. This data informs live vehicle charging needs within the Charge Management System and is recorded for ongoing Reports and Insights. We also have scheduling system integrations with TripShot and GMV deployed in active customer projects, whereby real-time information from Dispatch is pushed via API into the Platform to inform live vehicle assignments, service energy requirements, and additional reporting outcomes. Scheduling system integrations typically provide planned departure and return times, estimated operating and deadhead miles, and driver information. Live schedule data significantly enhances the charge management system's ability to understand which vehicles need to be where, by when, and potentially estimate the energy or range required for that service.
