Organization Overview

KeyLogic’s Energy Analysis team supports the U.S. Dept. of Energy and other clients including the National Energy Technology Laboratory's $6B research portfolio of the Office of Energy (OE), Office of Energy & Renewable Energy (EERE), Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, & Emergency Response (CESER), Office of Fossil Energy & Carbon Management (FECM), and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) that covers a wide-range of technical solutions and cross-cutting scientific/engineering disciplines.

Specifically, we support NETL’s execution of strategic analysis and support, which includes efforts that identify, assess, and optimize advanced energy technologies and systems; guide and evaluate internal and external R&D programs and projects;  inform and conduct institutional and DOE strategic planning, and develop sponsors and transfer technology. Efforts include conducting scientific modeling services in the areas of program and project implementation, systems and databases, assessments, reviews, and evaluations, technical information, process and cost engineering, financial analysis, life cycle analysis and economic, market, and regulatory analysis, technology deployment, and energy infrastructure and subsurface analysis.

This is a 3-year contract (5-years with extensions), KeyLogic, LLC currently manages prime and subcontractors across 80+ activities of various sizes and project demands and integrates and optimizes complementary support services from one major and 58 short-term subs, and 20 specialty team subs (as of 2024). We provide significant contributions to the Institute for the Design of Advanced Energy Systems (IDAES) Integrated Platform consisting of high-level capabilities including AI/ML Surrogate modeling that solves complex design and optimization problems and enabled the team to win a prestigious R&D 100 award.
