Sustainable Power Systems (SPS) delivers a Universal Microgrid Controller® that combines and controls all forms of power including, but not limited to: wind, solar, micro-hydro, batteries, diesel generation, and grid electricity. The Universal Microgrid Controller® is a standardized hardware and software platform that reduces the cost and complexity of microgrid deployment and operations. Project developers and EPCs benefit by having a microgrid control platform that is quick to install and maintains a consistent look and feel over a wide range of microgrid applications. Our microgrid controller's sophisticated dispatch algorithms optimize operation so as to minimize the lifecycle cost of energy and reduce the environmental impact associated with energy production.
SPS specializes in high renewable energy penetration microgrids in the 100 kW to 10 MW size range, ideal for remote off-grid communities such as islands and villages, as well as grid-tied commercial and industrial sites. Both on and off-grid, our microgrid controls address the worldwide trend toward distributed electricity production to provide community resiliency, grid stability, energy cost reduction, and environmental sustainability.
