Organization Overview

Icarus RT is a hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) technology that uses water to cool PV panels and harvests heat from large scale PV arrays to charge a thermal energy storage system and provide additional energy production on-demand via an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC).

Icarus RT, Inc. is an award-winning firm and won the 2019 CalSEED $150k Concept Award funded by the California Energy Commission to advance energy innovation. Additionally, Icarus has been selected to participate in Cohort 3 of the 2020 Shell NREL Gamechanger (GCxN) Program which means we will partner with NREL engineers to validate Icarus designs and prepare for commercialization. Most recently Icarus won participation in the 2020 UC California at Berkeley Cleantech to Market (C2M) program.

We are in urgent need of a dozen commercial solar Photovoltaic Panels for modification for final testing pre-commercial beta, and doing everything we can to manage funds and maintain payroll during the COVID-19 response.
